Therapeutic Approach

I create a judgment free environment where clients feel safe and heard. I understand how difficult and vulnerable this process can be with another human being. I like to use a modern and relationally focused psychodynamic approach where I will be listening as well as clarifying thoughts and feelings with clients, and developing strategies in a culturally sensitive matter to help address any issues. My goal is to support my clients in freeing themselves from destructive patterns that may negatively affect their behavior.

I provide a holistic healing experience that does not include prescribed medication and that focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivation enhancement therapy (motivational interviewing), mindfulness, MRT, spirituality, nutrition, strengths based therapy, and other evidence based approaches.

My therapy services include individual therapy, family therapy (family systems), CBT, DBI and trauma recovery groups (mastery of current life stressors and prevention of regression through the use of psychoeducation about abuse effects, the practice of problem solving skills, and supportive, topic-focused discussion. The group is structured in three one-week modules).
